About
It’s Opine ‘n Wine… NOT “whine”! We are two women with lots of opinions on pretty much every subject. Often we share them with each other over a glass of wine; now we’d like to share them with you.
About DeeTee: In 2006 I read Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged, which permanently changed my life. I’d like to think I’m like the bold and brave Dagny Taggart, but I don’t think I can fully live up to that esteemed name… but I’m trying. Hence the initials D.T., but as the name DeeTee.
About Chie: Chie, which in Japanese means wisdom, wit and sagacity, was one of the attendants/messengers of Monju, Guardian of Buddhist Law. Monju is typically shown holding the Sutra of Wisdom in his left hand and a sharp sword in his right, which Monju uses to cut through illusion and shed light on the unenlightened mind. However, I thought it too presumptuous to assume the alias of the actual god – so I took the name of one of his female attendants.
